I suck at asking people to hang out...?

I am a 16 year old guy and I suck at asking people to hang out because I dont have any confidence in actually doing something with them (its not that Im scared to ask her out, or ask him to hang out). My main problem is it is sometimes awkward when I have people over to my house because first off theres nothing to do, and second I live pretty much in the middle of nowhere. The only thing I can do is go to movies with people which gets boring after you do it twice a week. This whole thing has like a huge tole on my social life because I am not hanging out with people Id like to so they start to not invite me to their stuff. What can I do to get people together that doesnt include movies? Also- Im kinda relaxed and I dont enjoy big parties and stuff
