CATHOLICS: confused about CCC's dogma on hell?

it might be literal but again it might not, it might be from a state of mind, then again maybe not. i personally don't know. but i have a feeling that hell wont be like what they say on earth, i think it will come out to be a million times worse then how certain people describe it.
